Fish Captures

1st trout and 1st cap lure
So, as I told in the first page, I saw a video about creating a lure from a bottle cap.
After realizing the potential power of the idea, I went to my prefered bar and had a Beck's, my usual fresh beer.
I opened the bottle paying attention to do not destroy the cap... a fantastic silver cap, with black and red logos ... the cap sounded immediately perfect!
I spend some seconds to bend it, and finally I put it in the pocket.
The day after I had a look at poor tools I had at home and decided to go for a swiss knife, where I found a small hard tip (the one with a small hole in the middle) ... it was hard enough to make a couple of holes.
In 5 minutes the cap was there, the holes where done and a treble hook was ready to be part of the creation.
The longest part was to fix the treble hook to the cap, using a very small ring ... I had pain in my fingers and almost destroied a couple of nails ... but at the end my first bottle-cap-lure was there, in front of me.
The day after I had a heavy Easter lunch ... but after that, instead of falling asleep on the sofa, I went to the river next to my home ... that day was the day of the test!

my 1st bottle cap lure
In 10 minutes I had the first bite! This is not common in that river ... I was really amazed ... the fish just tasted the cap, so I was not sure the lure was ok, but it was a great first step!
20 minutes later, the first trout made me feel really proud!
It's the trout you can see here in these 2 pics! Sorry, quality is very bad, I forgot to bring a camera and had to document the event with a mobile phone!
I took a pic and let it free to go back into the water. I like to catch&release, so the cap-lure has been created using a treble hook without tongues.
Really proud and happy but not ready to go back home, I tried again, walking along the river.
10 minutes later a smaller trout was in my hands!

This was really amazing ... I've never catch 2 trouts in a day in this river ... ok, maybe I'm not a good fisherman, but this test-day was really turning into a very special fishing-day!
I wend on fishing while walking back home, and another huge bite let me astonished: the wather moved around the cap-lure, the trout give a huge bite but the hook did not the job ...
Anyway, I was more then happy when back home!
The day of test convinced me to go on building cap-lures ... and gave me a new good excuse to have a fresh beer!
